Cuphead is one of a kind run and gun indie videogame developed and published by StudioMDHR. Although the developer company wasn’t highly trained at the time of development process, they nailed it with selling more than a million copies in its first two weeks alone. This impressive milestone for an indie game even goes further with now totaling over three million sales over its existence on PC, Xbox One, macOS, and Nintendo Switch. Although Cuphead is been out on these four major platforms, it was initially released exclusively on Xbox One and PC in September 2017 thanks to Microsoft’s support for indie games at the time.

The game is inspired by the 1930s animated cartoons. The vibe that it gives feels just them and mostly seeks to emulate the surrealist qualities of Fleischer and Walt Disney Animation. Cuphead features a great coop play. Composed by Kristofer Maddigan, the Cuphead OST features nearly 3 hours of original jazz, early big band, and ragtime music. Each song is played by live musicians, including a 13-piece big band, 10-piece ragtime ensemble, a solo pianist, a vocalist, a tap dancer, and a few surprises. On steam input with the steam controller, I want to bind 2 inputs to each of the four face buttons (A, B, X and Y). Either a double press or a chorded press would work fine. But both of those won't work with X or Y. Its as if the activator isn't even there. A and B work fine. Has anybody here seen this? Speaking about Cuphead, it is currently avaihalbe on Steam. You can download it on Xbox One and Windows PC. Meanwhile, the game is only supported as single player and co-op mode when played from the same computer. The online cooperative is about to launch pretty soon, though. In-Game Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. Traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.

It features a local coop where two players can play together to take down bosses. Keep in mind that there is no online coop yet available at the moment but the developers have announced that it will eventually come out. However, in the meantime, if you are playing the game on PC and own an Nvidia graphics card, there is a way you can play with your friends without purchasing two copies of the game. Since the game didn’t have any prototype releases unlike most indie games, there is no free download available for Cuphead.
